* Source: https://github.com/Simbastack-hq/resolve-edit-kit
* Works with: DaVinci Resolve, FFmpeg
* Type: Agent skill + scripts
* Setup difficulty: hard
* Supported versions: DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1 or later; Python 3, ffmpeg and Whisper; Node 18+ for graphics; works as a Claude Code skill
* Resolve edition: Studio only
* Price: free
* License: MIT
* GitHub stars: 3
* Last updated: 2026-10-08
* Checked: 2026-10-26

Setup steps:

1. In Resolve Studio 21.1+, open File > Setup AI Assistants and install your assistant (set External scripting to Local if it can't connect)
2. Install ffmpeg, Python 3 with pip install -r requirements.txt, and Whisper
3. For graphics, run npm install and npx playwright install chromium in the motion folder
4. Link the folder into ~/.claude/skills/resolve-edit-kit, then ask Claude to edit the footage in your folder with the resolve-edit-kit skill

Safety notes:

* Needs the paid Studio edition of Resolve (it uses File > Setup AI Assistants)
* The author says the result is a normal, decent video, not a great one: you still record, choose takes and give notes
* Set the project playback frame rate by hand before reviewing, because the API cannot change it
