Ideas to try

These are our ideas, not reports from real users. We haven't found a public example of someone using this tool yet. Know one?

  • Build one lower third template, then ask the agent to make a version for every name in a spreadsheet
  • Let the agent render a few frames to PNG and check its own work before you look

What it does

A Claude Code skill that makes motion design videos in code with HTML, Playwright and ffmpeg: frames are rendered one by one with motion blur, cut to the beat of the music, with sound effects placed on their peaks. Includes a remake mode for frame-locked copies of a reference launch video.

The project describes itself as: "A Claude Code skill to make motion design videos in pure code: HTML + Playwright + ffmpeg. No After Effects, no Remotion license."

How to set it up

  1. Copy skill/motion-design into ~/.claude/skills.
  2. Install the Python deps: pip install playwright imageio-ffmpeg numpy pillow, then python -m playwright install chromium.
  3. In Claude Code, ask for a video or type /motion-design.

This is a plain English summary of the project's own instructions. Commands and versions change, so always follow the current README at the source link

Safety notes

  • Downloads free music, sound effects and stock from sources like Mixkit, Pexels and Unsplash; each keeps its own license.
  • Runs locally; no API key needed for core features.

General rule: open a duplicate of your project before letting any agent make changes, and read what a script does before approving it
