How to set it up

  1. Install Node.js 20+.
  2. Install the npm package and run premiere-pro-mcp --install-cep.
  3. Restart Premiere, open Window > Extensions > MCP Bridge (CEP), set the bridge directory and start it.
  4. Connect your MCP client.

This is a plain-English summary of the project's own instructions. Commands and versions change, so always follow the current README at the source link.

Safety notes

  • Installs a CEP panel into Premiere.
  • Runs locally; no API key needed for core features.

General rule: open a duplicate of your project before letting any agent make changes, and read what a script does before approving it.
